Bonjour/Hello!

My name is Alexane Couture, I'm the face behind Open Art Collective.

I'm from Drummondville, Québec and moved to the beautiful province of Nova Scotia in 2022. 

I come from a background in contemporary dance and interior design. I graduated from The School of Dance, Ottawa in 2015 where I learned discipline and production skills. In 2019, I went back to school to learn how to create aesthetic and functional spaces. I graduated as a Technicien in Interior Design from Cégep de L'Outaouais in 2022. 

Since I moved to Halifax, I worked in the event industry as an Event designer. I was able to apply my skills of project leader for well-known events in the community. I made sure that the concept was adapted to the company branding, in collaboration with an in-house graphic designer. 

My unique artistic journey allows me to see space differently and create playful, intuitive and eclectic work.

I am such an art enthusiast that I decided to create a collective for multi-disciplinary artists to connect and collaborate . 

I'm proud to offer a variety of services in French and in English.
